Thanks to Linda and Gary Vaughn and their Team with Maple Shade Estate Sales for helping us with the sale of items from our Parents' estate. They are hard working, trustworthy, and respectful of estate items and family and friends. Some things in life are very hard such as what to do with family estate items, but these wonderful people came to make this happen for us and held a successful estate sale. My Brother and I are very happy with the services provided by Maple Shade Estate Sales Co. After trying to sell some things on our own and not having much luck, we decided to hire a professional. We interviewed several Nashville Area Estate Sales professionals and were starting to get discouraged. Then a friend referred Linda & Gary. Their extensive knowledge in Antiques, Collectibles and everyday items helped to get the maximum dollar amount for our estate. They itemized, sorted, labeled, displayed and priced everything . They also placed advertisements and selected great locations for signs.
In addition to all the work involved in the estate sale, Linda & Gary went above and beyond to accommodate ours needs for our situation. They also negotiated a bulk purchase for everything that didn't sell at the estate sale. Initially the main reason we tried to sell things on our own was to avoid paying the fees and percentages that professionals charge, but after trying it on our own and seeing all the time and work that went into the estate sale we feel that we got a real bargain for the percentage Linda & Gary charged. They are worth every penny and made everything easy in our time of crisis!!!
On Sunday, February 1, 2015, I met with Linda and Gary Vaughn of Maple Shade Estate Sales regarding my cousins property. After our meeting, I signed a contract with them to conduct the sale. They were both so friendly and very professional. They came in and cleaned the house and discarded items that were not needed or would not sell. They staged the items for the sale. I was very impressed when I stopped by on the first day of the sale. It did not look like the same house. Everything was set up in such a professional manner, it looked like it could have been an actual shop or store somewhere. When they were getting ready for the sale, the weather was very cold and we had ice and snow on some days. As the wall heater units did not work, they had to use space heaters. The bathroom plumbing did not work in the house, so a portable potty had to be brought in. I commend them on their perseverance to get the job done. As needed, they kept me informed along the way, as to what had been accomplished prior to the sale. They advertised the sale. While I didn’t stay during the 3-day sale, (March 12-14, 2015), there were always a lot of customers there when I did stop by. At the end of the sale, the house was completely empty. I had already obtained 2 offers on the house itself, but, they got 6 more offers from customers . I was extremely pleased with the job Linda and Gary did. I will recommend them to anyone I come across needing someone to perform this service for them. JOB WELL DONE!!!!!!!
